In the Meeker area, we did run .into difficulty with five landowners,
and, hopefully, we are going to get this resolved. But I think the
transmission systems are by far the 'most difficult kind of problems to
resolve.

J

MR. KROEGER: John.

MR. FETCHER: I would like to say something on behalf of Colorado ute, I
and that is that their participation in the Yamcolo project, which will
benefit northwest Colorado, has made that project possible. And, Si,
I think that is another point that you and I talked about, for which
we are very grateful.

MR. BERTHELSON: _ I don't think they are all bad.

MR. KROEGER: Are there any other questions from the audience? (NO
response.)

John, we certainly do thank you for your presentation, and we also want
to thank you for the utilization of these facilities. It is nice to be
with you again. We were here some time back, and we knew what kind of
deluxe treatment we were going to get when we came to visit again.

MR. BUGAS: Thank you very much. I might point out to you that if you
leave the auditorium and go down the hall and turn the corner, there
is a little coffee shop there. I have asked the girls to keep the coffee
pot boiling for anyone that wants to get a cup. So you are perfectly
welcome :to do that.

But for that, as the lady suggested (indicating), I want you to support
us for about a thousand acre-feet of water annually for a cup of coffee.
(Laughter. )

MR. KROEGER: I thought it was going to be added to our electric bill.
(Laughter. )

Thank you, John.

I want to pause a moment and recognize a couple of former board members.
Si Berthelson has already stood up. Si, do it one more time; will you?
He is also a member of the Upper Colorado River Commission. And'Bill
Nelson, Bill, will you at least wave your hand or stand or do something?

Both of them served on the water board for many years and very well.

I

To take Harris Sherman's place today, we have Bob Siek, who has already
spoken.

Our third item today is the report of the Bureau of Reclamation. I will
call on Harl Noble to introduce his people, or at least get us started
on it.

MR. NOBLE: Mr. Chairman, board members, and ladies and gentlemen, on

-12-
