These projects will likely require Legislative approval since they exceed $5.0 <br />million. The listed large projects show a significant need between 2006 and 2008. <br /> <br />Prepared by <br />Kirk Russell <br />Water Supply Planning & Finance Section <br /> <br />PROJECT: OAK CREEK RESERVOIR <br />BORROWER: Florence Colorado <br />ESllMA TED PROJECT COST: $12 million <br />FUNDING NEEDED: 2008 <br /> <br />LOAN AMOUNT: $7 million <br /> <br />DESCRIPTION: City of Florence is propOsing the constrUction of a water supply storage reservoir with <br />flood control benefits. The Corp of Engineers (COE) is preparing a feasibility study. Cost share of the <br />$1.0 million study is 50% COE and 50% City. CWCB approved a $200,000 feasibility study grant in . <br />November 2004. The COE is providing a 65/35 cost share of the flood control project costs and 0% for . <br />the costs associated with the water supply component. <br /> <br />PROJECT: CUCHARAS RESERVOIR REHABILITATION <br />BORROWER: Huerfano-Cucharaa Reservoir Company <br />ESllMA TED PROJECT COST: $14 million LOAN AMOUNT: $14 million <br />FUNDING NEEDED: 2006-2007 <br /> <br />DESCRIPTION: Cucharaa Reservoir was restricted several years ago. Boyle Engineering has been hired to <br />provide a feasibility study. Without action the reservoir may be restricted to zero storage in 2007. Possible <br />project options include a new 100 foot dam. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />66 <br />
