<br />.92.. <br /> <br />Further comment concerning the need for this transmission line and <br />the desirability of its authorization was submitted by Mr. Prouty, represen- <br />tative of the Bureau of Reclamation, and other proponents of the line. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Hunter that the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board approve and urge ahthorization and an appro- <br />priation by the present Congress for the construction of the <br />Green Mounta.1n-Oak Creek transmission power line, as a <br />feature of the Colorado-Big Thompson project, now under con- <br />struction by the Bureau of Reclamation; and that the Director <br />be authorized to take such steps as he may deem advisable be- <br />fore the committe.es of Congress and otherwise to bring about <br />such construction. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The motion was seconded, carried, and declared passed. <br /> <br />There followed an informal discussion concerning attendance by <br />members of the Board at the next meeting of the Upper \;olorado River. <br />Basin Compact Commission, which will convene at Vernal, Utw" on July 7, <br />1948.
