It seemed to . <br />be the result of the discussions there that <br />we would undertake to revise the law, I'm <br />not prepared to say if it is the Colorado <br />Water conservation Board draft or if it is <br />the Senate Bill 81 draft, but revise the pro- <br />posed legislation so that it incorporated the <br />two features, the water rights commission and <br />the water judges, which has been done in the <br />draft which is before us. <br /> <br />I don't know how many of the people here <br />have read Senate Bill 81. I don't know how <br />many people here have seen the proposed <br />amendments that have been developed for <br />Senate Bill 81, many of which speak to the <br />same kinds of concerns that have been dealt <br />with in the various changes that have taken <br />place in the Water Conservation Board draft. <br />Whether or not it would be germane or valu- <br />able to read Senate Bill 81 or have people <br />aware of those provisions, I don't know. I <br />suspect that some df these people are aware <br />of it and I suspect there are others who are <br />not. <br /> <br />I am very hopeful that the Water Con- <br />servation Board, and the water users present, <br />will be able to unite in support of a con- <br />census position that will result in useful, <br />workable legislation that will advance our <br />efforts to solve the difficult problems we <br />have in water use in Colorado." <br /> <br />MR.
