It was explained that the
proposed boundaries of the new region, as tentatively approved by the Bureau of
Reclamati on, did not coincide with those recommended by the Colorado Water Con-
servation Board. This new region, if finally set up as proposed by the Bureau
of Reclamation, would eliminate the San Luis Valley and all of Western Colorado.

An explanation of what had been done to induce the Bureau to recognize
the boundaries recommended by the Board was made and general discussion followed.

A motion was made by J. M. Dille and seconded by El Roy Nelson that
it is the sense of the Colorado Water Conservation Board that the plan, as
outlined by the Board for delineation of the boundaries of Region 7,Bureau
of Reclamation, is more satisfactory for the water development of the
State of Colorado, and offers less administration difficulties for the
Bureau of Reclamation, and the Director is authorized to restate 'the argu-
ments that have been made here to the Commissioner of the Bureau of Recla-
mation and ask for adoption of readjusted boundaries.

Upon vote being taken, the motion was unanimously passed and de-
clared ad opted.
Iii

It was suggested that since Commissioner Harry W.
