<br /> <br />-"-V'" <br /> <br />Gunnison area upon the understanding ~hat the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />would contribute a like sum. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Bailey and seconded by Miss Pointer that <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board partioipate in this eoonomio <br />study in the Cunnis on area to the extent of paying one-half of the <br />salary of one man for a period of not more than six months and <br />contributing such office help as might be necessary~ <br /> <br />The moti on was unanimously oarried and declared adopted. <br /> <br />Frank C, Merriell, Engineer-Secretary of the Colorado River Water <br />Conservation District, reported that his Board at its last meeting had adopted <br />a resolution which reads as followsl <br /> <br />"That the' Colorado Water Conservation Board. be reque sted <br />to re-examine the figures for a potential 844,494 irrigated and <br />706,840 acres arable in Western Colorado to include all land <br />economically pcssible, and as a matter of safety to add ten per <br />cer..t.." <br /> <br />The Board reverted to consideration of the report made by the Director <br />with respect to his activities in an effort to bring about aMicable adjustments <br />on potential controversies in adjudication proceedings involving the Green <br />Mountain Reservoir and the proposed Blue-South Platte Transmountain Diversion <br />Proje ct. A gene ral di scussi on ensued. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Dille and seconded by Mr. Bailey <br />that the action taken by the Director in the adjudication pro- <br />.ceedings in Breckenridge, Colorado involving the proposed Blue- <br />South Platte Diversion Project and the Green Mountain Reservoir, <br />a feature of the Colorado-Big Thompson Project, be approved and <br />that he continue his efforts in this matter. <br /> <br />The motion was unanimously carried and declared adopted. <br /> <br />Thereupon the Director presented for consideration a proposed budget <br />of the Colorado Water Conservation Board for the biennium 1945-1947 for sub- <br />mission to the State Budget and Efficiency Commissioner. He gave a detailed, <br />overall explanation of this budget, stated that it provided for an expanded <br />program in the postwar period. He asked that the proposed budget be .considered <br />by the Board and as revised by it be approved and that he be authorized to <br />submit it to the State Budget and Efficiency Commissioner.
