<br />221 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the late Chris Wallrich resigned as a member of <br />the Board, because of his advanced age and a desire to re- <br />strict his activities in public life, after more than half <br />a century spent in Colorado and participation in connnunity <br />and business affairs of the San Luis Valley and in matters <br />which concerned the welfare of his adopted State; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the late Chris Wallrich served on the Water Board <br />wi th distinction and fairness and presided at its meetings in <br />an impartial manner which won the respect and admiration of <br />all members of the Board; am he rendered outstanding services <br />in the protection, development and utilization of the State's <br />water resources; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED Qy the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board on this 18th day of December 1950 that apprecia- <br />tion and commendation for the late Chris Wallrich' s contribu- <br />tion to the functions of the Board in the protection, develop- <br />ment and utilization of the State's water resources, and the <br />adjustment of many problems in connection therewith, be ex- <br />. pressed and made a part of the -records of the Board; and that <br />. the Board note the passiIlg of a"Colorado pioneer who con- <br />. tributed much to the development and welfare of the State of <br />. Colorado and who demonstrated over a period of a long and use- <br />ful life his sterling character and integrity which won him <br />. many friends and gained the high respect of a host of Colorado <br />citizens. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the condolence of the members <br />of the Colorado Water Conservation Board be extended to the <br />members of the family of the late Chris Wall rich and that a <br />copy of this resolution be forwarded to them. <br /> <br />- - -' - - - -- - - <br /> <br />Dan Hunter seconded the motion to adopt the fore- <br />going resolution. <br /> <br />Upon vote being taken the motion passed <br />unanimously and the resolution was declared <br />adopted. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />. It was moved by John Beaty and seconded Qy <br />C.J .l.lcConnick that the minutes of the meeting of <br />the !:bard, held on January 15-16, 1950, and the <br />minutes of the meeting, of the JJoard, held on <br />July 10, 1950, \vith minor corrections in the minu- <br />tes of January 15-16 be approved as corrected. <br /> <br />On vote being taken the motion. carried and <br />was declared adopted. <br />
