Review and Approval of March, 2000 CWCB Meeting Minutes <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: 0189 - 0389 <br />Action: A motion was made by David Smith and seconded by Eric Wilkinson that <br />the minutes be approved with the following changes: Add Eric Kuhn and <br />Eric Wilkinson to list of voting members present at the meeting; item 4, <br />include the AG's report in Director's reports that were given; item 14 <br />should read Executive Session Briefing, with a sentence added at the end <br />stating "the board then went into Executive Session; item 14a. should <br />read Executive Session Report; item 24e. add "representing the Attorney <br />General" after Felicity Hannay's name. The motion was approved <br />unanimously (9-0). <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Directors' Reports - EDO, CWCB, AG, SEO, and DOW <br /> <br />Tape 1, Start/Stop: <br /> <br />0390 - 2095 <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Status reports from EDO, CWCB, AG, SEO, and DOW. There was no <br />report from AGRIG and WRPDA A motion was made by Don Schwindt <br />and seconded by Bob Burr to approve a list of recommended severance tax <br />expenditures, including allowing up to $10,000 to be used to pay for <br />operating costs associated with severance tax programs through FY 2000, <br />ending June 30. Peter Evans noted sever issues: 1) that the Projects Bill <br />1419 had not been signed as of the meeting date and copies would be <br />distributed at that time; 2) the report on Indian water rights and the ESA has <br />been finalized; 3) the proposal to mandate a study by the Board and build a <br />water project in Division 4 or 5 that would supply water to Divisions 1,2,4, <br />and 5, known as SB 215 and sponsored by John Evans, was "killed" by the <br />legislature, but will probably be reintroduced in a later session; 4) and the <br />Water Basin Fact Sheets and the format which they were presented in was <br />favorably received by the legislature. Hal Simpson, SEO, noted that per a <br />discussion with Harold Miske1, an update on the Office Information <br />Technology regarding the availability of data on the Internet and related <br />funding should be included as an agenda item for the next meeting in July. <br />Greg Walcher, EDO, requested feedback from the Board on how they would <br />like to proceed on the interview process for the new Director of CWCR <br /> <br />Minutes May 22 -23. 2000 <br />Page 2 <br />
