I

I

Now, is that procedure satisfactory to the Board, to not discuss the
Grand County ones at this time?

MR. SPARKS: As I understand it then, Mr. Chairman, we would carry
these over for preliminary consideration at the next board meeting,
now scheduled for January 17 and final consideration then at the March
meeting. Is that right?

MR. STAPLETON: That is my understanding.

All right. with that in mind, I would entertain a motion that the
preliminary streamflows for Pitkin County, which are five in number, be
approved and put on the agenda at the next meeting for final considera-
tion.

MR. ROBBINS: So move.

MR. JACKSON: Second.

MR. STAPLETON: Yes, Mr. Thomson.

MR. THOMSON: Charles Thomson, Southeastern District. We got this while
I was in Washington, D. C., on this last go-around.

I just wanted to be absolutely sure that provided in here is the 7 cfs
that our board agreed to in June as a part of this final agreement. Is
that correct?

MR. SPARKS: That is correct. The purpose of this is to implement the
agreement. I hope you will check the figures out and be sure that
these are in conformity with the agreement which the Board has pre-
viously ratified. That is the only purpose of the Pitkin county recom-
mendation, to implement that agreement.

MR. THOMSON: Well, I checked them, but I just wanted to be absolutely
sure that that was the case.

MR. ROBBINS: Let the record reflect that my motion was made with that
in mind.

MR. STAPLETON: Is there any further discussion? (NO response.)

All those in favor signify by saying "Aye." (Unanimous ayes.) Those
opposed? (NO response.)

The motion is carried.

Now, I think we are going to have some irrigation demonstration programs
for the Grand Valley and the North Fork of the Gunnison River. And
who is going to present that?

MR. SPARKS: A member of our staff. T. J.Longley will make the report.
As the Board will recall, we have been doing a considerable amount of
work, on-farm work, in the Grand Valley in an attempt to solve two

-21-
