Please see the attached project summary and
map.

Backaround
The OCID, located in Delta County, manages the District to deliver irrigation water for the benefit
of the landowners ("acre holders" within the District.) Water is diverted from a headgate on Dry
Creek (AKA Currant Creek), located 12 miles north east of Delta. Water is delivered via the Dry
Creek Transfer Ditch for storage in the Fruit Growers Reservoir (4,600 AF,) A serious leak
developed in the Transfer Ditch in the spring of 2003, and the ditch had to be shut down.
Temporary repairs were made to allow delivery of just 35 cfs (maximum ditch capacity is 60 cfs) to
store some water in the reservoir in 2003. Water is released from the Fruit Growers Reservoir at
the Circle Ditch head gate, installed in 1940. This gate has deteriorated and become inoperable.
The District needs to rehabilitate the Dry Creek Transfer Ditch and the Circle Ditch Headgate,

e

Feasibility Studies
The OCID has completed the Feasibility Study using technical design information provided by the
Natural Resources Conservation Service, Delta office. The study includes an assessment of
altematives for rehabilitation of District infrastructure,
