I think the same things are present there. It's <br />another agricultural project, and perhaps Yamcolo. We ought to at <br />least discuss it. <br /> <br />MR. BROWNELL: It's mostly ditch lining. <br /> <br />MR. SPARKS: This is purely ditch lining to eliminate heavy canal <br />losses. <br /> <br />MR. The town of Hotchkiss is having problems <br />similar to the town of Hayden. <br /> <br />There's been considerable new coal development taking place in the North <br />Fork of the Gunnison River drainage. Hotchkiss is in the middle of. it. <br />The mayor of Hotchkiss is here to speak to this point. <br /> <br />MR. CONNELLY: Mr. President and members of the Board, I sure appreciate <br />being here and I have with'us our :town engineer Mr. Jim Flood, who if <br />there is any technical thing which I am low on, he,can certainly answer. <br />I won't take up very much of your time. It's getting pretty close to <br />lunch. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The first part of this project is to be financed by the FHA and we need <br />the second phasing, which is to be funded by the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board, very badly to fulfill our needs, and they!re getting <br />to the point of almost desperation in the town.
