MRS. JAMES: Not if you assist us in our efforts.

MR. STAPLETON: We'll receive that ,and I will give it to our roughest
member, Mr. Robbins. Will you carry that for us? (Laughter.)

He's got a helmet and everything else. Thank you, Mrs. James.

I

.
Are there any further comments from the ,floor on the Dove Creek project?

MR. SPARKS: I might add, Mr. Chairman, that the Dolores Water Con-
servancy District is active in assisting Dove Creek with this problem
and will be, I assume, one of the project sponsors.

MR. STAPLETON: Any comments from the Board?

MR. KROEGER: Mr. Chairman, I am aware that Dove Creek, being not too
far from my town, has a critical water supply and has had for many,
many years. They're heavily indebted for the amount of water system
that has already been provided, and I think they need this badly. I
would move that thesBoard accept this as one of the projects.

MR. STAPLETON: It's been moved. Is there a second?

MR. LEINSDORF: Second.
MR. STAPLETON: Any discussion?
(No response.)
MR. STAPLETON: All those in favor, signify by saying "Aye."
(Unanimous "Ayes.")

MR. STAPLETON: Opposed?

(No response.)

MR. STAPLETON: It is ordered submitted and I gather that the technical
language is that we submit it for the approval of the legislature. Is
that correct?

I

MR. SPARKS: That's correct. Are we going to wait until we get through
before we actually establish priorities, or are we establishing priorities
at this time?

MR. STAPLETON: I thought we didn't need priorities. Well, I'll ask the
Board. I am told we will not need priorities. And on that basis, I
would think we would submit all twelve.

If that's not true, then I would presume we would take the staff's recom-
mendations as to the priorities unless we hear to the contrary from the
Board.members as we went through these discussions? I don't want to pre-
judge as to priority twelve when we have only heard the first one. But
it would be my thought that technically I gather we've got sufficient

-11-
