The vote was 4-3, <br /> <br />The agreement also obligates the two cities to refuse contracts with any other city whose water <br />rights would reduce the Arkansas flow, <br /> <br />Arkansas River Compact Administration (ARCA): A fire at the County Annex in Lamar <br />occurred on Feb, 20, This is where we store many of the older ARCA files, It will be 10-14 <br />days before we learn what was damaged, A Prowers County official has indicated that there is <br />minimal water in the room where the files are stored and any files in cabinets likely have little or <br />no damage, <br /> <br />Arkansas River Forum: The 2004 Forum was held on Mar. 4-5 in Canon City, This year's <br />theme was "Conservation and More...Ripples on the Arkansas." The forum focused on areas of <br />successful cooperation, collaboration, partnering and unusual solutions among the river basin's <br />stakeholders, Presentations included the Arkansas River flow program, community conservation, <br />drought update, instream and recreational flows and current legislative issues, <br /> <br />Colorado River Basin <br /> <br />Seven Basin States Meeting: On Mar, 5 Scott Ba1comb and I attended a meeting of the Seven <br />Basin States representatives, This is the organization responsible for negotiating the "4.4 <br />Agreement" that resulted in limiting California's future consumption of Colorado River water. <br /> <br />The purpose ofthe meeting was to discuss how Nevada can meet its future water needs.
