<br />transportation system in the Plum Creek <br />Valley, and in the interests of anticipated <br />future metropolitan growth of Plum Creek <br />Valley. <br /> <br />In the Bear Creek basin the current I <br />investigations relate principally to flood <br />protection for the metropolitan reach of the <br />Bear Creek Valley. Our site investigations <br />relate principally to the Mount Carbon Reser- <br />voir site. <br /> <br />On Sand and Toll Gate CreeJ(s our investi- <br />gations are directed toward flood protection <br />for Aurora, Colorado and metropolitan Denver. <br />The studies in progress relate principally to <br />a damsite above Bud(ley Field on Sand Creek <br />and an additional damsite on Toll Gate CreeJ(. <br /> <br />In the upper Bijou Creek basin we are <br />studying seven potential damsites which have <br />an aggregate drainage area controllable of <br />65 percent of the Bijou Creek basin. <br /> <br />Flood Plain Information Studies for the <br />metropolitan region of Denver, Colorado, We <br />recently released the advance issues of Volume <br />III covering Bear CreeJ( and Clear Creek for <br />the metropolitan region of Denver. Field data <br />essential to hydraulic studies have recently <br />been received for streams scheduled to be <br />published in Volume IV of the Denver Flood <br />Plain Information series. <br /> <br />On our small project investigations we <br />are in the process of detailed feasibility <br />and design studies for a flood control dam on <br />Skunk Creek for protection of Bureau of <br />Standards property and a residential area of <br />Boulder, Colorado. <br /> <br />Our reconnaissance investigations under <br />our Section 205 authority - we have initiated <br />a reconnaissance investigation On Bear Creek <br />above Evergreen and presently we are exploring <br /> <br />I <br />
