With the passage of the federal long- term funding legislation in 2000 (S, 1544 and H.R. 2348), the <br />State of Colorado is committed to helping fund capital construction projects that contribute to the <br />recovery of endangered fish in the Colorado and San Juan Rivers. The Colorado water <br />Conservation Board and Colorado Division of Wildlife are both involved in various projects that <br />are identified in the Upper Colorado River Recovery Implementation Program- Recovery Action <br />Plan (RIPRAP) and the San Juan Recovery Implementation Program Work Plan, Colorado's <br />required contribution under the first year (FY 01-02) was $1,646,000 ($1,477,000 for Upper <br />Colorado and $169,000 for the San Juan). Second year (FY 02-03) funding requirements for <br />Colorado total $1,613,000 ($1,414,000 for the Colorado and $199,000 for the San Juan), All <br />activities are fully described in the respective RIPRAP and Work Plan. Both these documents are <br />incorporated by reference and will be provided upon request. Attached is a 2-page summary which <br />outlines the whole financial package. <br />. Costs for all tasks related to this project shall not exceed $1,613,000 from the Species Conservation <br />Trust Fund, <br /> <br />. <br />
