vati'On Board to c'O'Operate in securing the c'On-
struction 'Of the prapased fleod cantr'Ol along the
South Platte River between Chatfield Dam and
Denver, Cal'Orado.

This is a new auth'Ority granted t'O this
Board and it is fraught with some difficulty.
However, for some twa years now en the staff we
have m'O'Oted around the pr'Oposition 'Of whether
'Or n'Ot a special district of same type should be
autharized far the Chatfield Praject. We con-
sidered that this was n'Ot advisable. We expect
that the principal cities involved, which are
Engleweod, Littlet'On and Sheridan, along with
the principal c'Ounty involved, Arapahoe, will be
able to pr'Ovide the necessary rights-of-way,
easements, etc. As a matter of fact. same 'Of
these have been acquired already. Fer the mast
part we dan't think there shauld be any expense
in cennectian with thase acquisitions because
the land to be acquired is virtually warthless
