The Colorado Water Conservation Board met, pursuant to notice, at
10:05 a.m. ,Benjamin F. Stapleton, Chairman, presiding.

MR. STAPLETON: We will call the regularly scheduled meeting of the
Colorado Water Conservation Board to order.

First of all, I would like to formally welcome Floyd Getz as a new
member of the board. We are glad to have you here. You are familiar
to all of us, and I know you are ,familiar with the work of the board.
We are happy to have you join us,.

Also, you may know that Mr., Kroeger was ,reappointed. ,We are delighted
about that. ' We would have been disappointed at anything less than that.

MR. KROEGER: Thank you, Ben.

MR. STAPLETON: Also, Bob Jackson, from Pueblo, I think will be here
later in the meeting.

The first order of business is the approval of the minutes of the
meeting of March 16, which have been submitted to us very ,recently.: I
will entertain a motion that those minutes be approved as submitted.

MR. KROEGER: So move.

MR. VANDEMOER: Seconded.

MR. STAPLETON: It has been regularly moved that the minutes of that
date be approved as submitted. All in favor? (Unanimous ayes.)
Opposed?, (No response.) The minutes are approved.

Under the date of July 7, Larry sent out to you an-item called
"Utilization of storage space in Chatfield Reservoir." This is a matter
that came up on an urgent basis because of a congressional meeting today.
I would appreciate it if with the approval of the board we could take
this out of order. ,Is there any objection to that? (No response.)

MR. SPARKS: Mr. Chainnan and Members of the Board, prior :to the time
that construction started on the Chatfield Reservoir, the State of
Colorado agreed to furnish 20,00Q acre-feet of water to maintain a
