"I'm Russ Wiethop from the Corps of Engi-
neers in Omaha. I am taking Jack Gardner's
place. Some of you, I am sure, remember
Jack. Jack is retiring the 17th day of
March so you won't see him any more except
as a civilian in your territory. Thank you."

"We are very happy to have you here and
will look forward to seeing you again.

Unless there is some further business,
I'll entertain a motion to adjourn. Oh, yes,
the next Board meeting."

"We've had a long standing invitation to
meet in La Junta and I think that would be
a highly appropriate place to meet. Since I
have been on the Board at least, we have
never met in the Arkansas Valley. La Junta
is in the vicinity of John Martin Reservoir.
The Board may have heard something about
that. I think May would be a fine time. I
think the reservoir will be dry at that time
but you could still see the dam."

"May lOth is our regularly scheduled date
for the next meeting. Frank, how about that?"

"I will have to get a place to hold the
meeting. I'll have to check to see that it
isn't filled for the 10th and I'll let Larry
know."

"I would like to register a mild protest
on changing the dates from the regularly
scheduled ones. I had to change a jury to
attend this meeting. So if you. are going to
do it, I'd like to have a li t!:-l'e" advance
