I

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. BOUSTEAD:

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. OGILVIE:

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. BARRETT:

I

made those corrections suggested by the Inter-
ior and Insular Affairs Committee at the hear-
ings last June. That evaluation is in the
hands of the Secretary of the Interior and we
believe that his report will be made shortly
to the Congress on the project and that that
report will be favorable. So at this time we
are not able to detect any apparent weaknesses
in the project legislation now pending in the
Congress.

I think, Mr. Chairman, that's all I have
on that item."

"Any questions from members of the Board?
Any questions or comments from the audience?
Mr. Boustead, do you have any comments?"

"I think that pretty well covers it."

"So far this meeting has been a big dis-
appointment. Who will
be making the report from Region 7?"

"Mr. Barrett will, Mr. Chairman."

"Mr. Barrett, would you mind coming up to
the microphone?"

"Mr. Chairman, gentlemen, you have in your
folders the written report which we submitted
which is a progress report. For the benefit
of the audience who do not have access to
that, I might run through some of the items.

On the Trinidad Project we have been
wo~,ing very closely with the staff of this
Board and with our Chief Engineer's office
in clearing our water supply studies, our
operation studies, for that project. We feel
that we are now in agreement and have a study
which we can support in the negotiation of
