Developed consensus memorandum addressing conservation and how it affects system reliability (Question 1). <br />Efficiency The memorandum conciuded that "In this analysis, some portion of conserved water can be used to serve new <br /> customers without negativeiy impacting reliability as long as the constrained drought demand does not increase. <br /> While this is a greatly simplified analysis with significant caveats, it suggests that conserved water is a resource <br /> that can be used to serve new customers under the right set of circumstances" <br /> . Developed a matrix to address what the projected long-term savings from conservation measures (Question 2). <br /> . During TRT3, discussed implementation issues for each for the conservation measures addressed in the <br /> Question 2 matrix. These issues need to be finalized. <br /> . Finalized Case Study on City of Westminster (Question 4) <br /> . Developed outline for TRT White Paper for final project. Have received comments on white paper (comments due <br /> May 19, 2006). <br /> . Subcommittee or small group discussion may be required after White Paper is drafted, no formal meeting to <br /> address remainino issues needed at this time. <br />Alternative Agricultural . Attempted to screen alternative techniques from the following: <br />Transfers - Interruptible Supply <br /> - Rotating Fallowing <br /> - Water Banks <br /> - Alternative Cropping <br /> - Purchase and Leaseback <br /> . SWSI team recommended developing a Strawman using rotationai fallowing. The group was very apprehensive <br /> and did not want any specific recommendation moving forward. <br /> . White paper will be developed to talk about all alternatives to buy and dry. <br /> . The group has not been able to address: <br /> - Are there suitable lands? <br /> - Water quality issues. <br /> . SWSI teams need to focus on the impacts of buy and dry on the Front Range. <br /> . A review committee will be necessary to prepare final white paper <br /> . Consumptive use and acricultural efficiencies will not be addressed in this chase of SWSI. <br />Prioritize Recreation and . Conducted additional meeting; group decided to use the agencies around the table to assist the SWSI team with <br />Environment Needs coverages. <br /> . Used proposal led by Nature Conservancy to determine attributes. <br /> . SWSI team will develop GIS coverages using data from CWCB, DOW, EPA, and CDPHE. <br /> .
