We will review these new reports and meet with the SEC\VCD and participating entities carly next
year to plan a presentation to the Board on the technical. financial. and politic;.!! issues. and to request
additional direction from the Board.

Public L'tilities Director Ron Redd told the gathering Castle Rod is not running out ofwater. but its
nonrenewable aquifer require the best management practices possihle to ensure future viability. The
choices thc town is r..1cing include infrastructure projects with prices ranging into the billions of
dollars. Other choices will include considering conservation. economic inccnti\'cs for wise use and
technologies that recharge the area's deep Denver Basin aquifer.

The Strategic Planning Advisory Committee will address areas oflong-rJ.nge water planning in four
subcommittees: conseryation. finance. water supply and outreach. Subgroups will rcpon progress.
study options and develop plans with the Strategic Planning Ad\isory Committee in three mt.'etings
scheduled throu~hout the winter. The entire committee will thenl!uide the town council as it addresses
