<br />CASF:\I Annual Conft'renct': Thc Colorado Association of <br />Stonnwater and Floodplain \'1anagers (C AS F,\I) hosted a <br />successful annual conference on Sept. 21-24 in Glenwood <br />Springs. This conference was anended by a r('cord number <br />of engineers and olher lloodplain manag.ement individuals <br />(188 total) from all areas of the statc. In addition 10 the <br />ke)TIotes address. the conference featured a plenary session <br />on stonnwater quality programs. four project presentations. <br />four workshops and field trips. alld 32 breakout sessions. <br /> <br />Eight of the 31 technical breakout sessions were conducted by members of the CWCB Flood <br />Protection Section or by consultants speaking about CWeB projects. Tom Browning and Brian Hyde <br />were responsible for authoring or covauthoring si.x papers prescmcd at the conference and Ke\.in <br />Houck co-taught the review course for the Certilicd Floodplain Managers exam and proctored lhe <br />exam itself. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-, <br /> <br />Our own Tom Browning was lonnally elected as the Vicevpresident ofC ASF.\1 al the conference <br />(photo above shows current C ASF~ oOicers).
