<br />It is estimated that there would be no storable flow during <br />a critical dry year for the Una decree if maximum development of <br />senior conditional water rights occurs. If average and minimum <br />development of these conditional rights occurs, the storable <br />flows during a critical dry year would be 27,000 and 172,000 <br />acre-feet, respectively. For the placita decree transferred to <br />Una, these values become 70,000, 106,000 and 174,000 acre-feet. <br /> <br />RESERVOIR OPERATION STUDIES <br /> <br />Reservoir operation studies were performed to determine the <br /> <br /> <br />water yield for the various cases of storable flow and the power <br /> <br /> <br />output which could be generated. The studies indicate that for <br /> <br /> <br />average development of senior conditional water rights with the <br /> <br /> <br />Placita decree transferred to Una, the annual firm water supply <br /> <br /> <br />would be 175,000 acre-feet initially. This would be reduced to <br /> <br /> <br />about 126,000 acre-feet after 100 years of sediment accumulation. <br /> <br />PROJECT LAYOUT <br /> <br />Based upon studies of alternatives, a selected arrangement <br />for the project was developed as shown in Fig. 5-2, which <br />includes the following features: <br /> <br />-4- <br />
