the Una Dam and Reservoir, including potential hydroelectric
generation facilities. These appraisal-level engineering studies
include:

o An evaluation of the hydrological and sedimentation
characteristics of the Colorado River at Una Dam.

o An analysis of the water rights and storable flows
available for Una Reservoir.

o Reservoir operation studies for power development.

o Appraisal level engineering designs and associated cost

estimates, including capital, operation, maintenance and

replacement costs.

o Preparation of a comprehensive report which summarizes
the work completed during the study.

HYDROLOGY AND RESERVOIR SEDMIMENTATION

The estimated average annual runoff at the dam site is 3,600
cfs or 2,600,000 acre-feet per year. The probable Maximum Flood
(PMF) flow for which the spillway is designed is estimated to be
130,000 cfs. This flood peak is composed of the runoff resulting
from the probable Maximum precipitation (PMP) plus the maximum

-2-
