He took a prcminent part in adjusting <br />the rights and interests between Western Colorado and Jllstern Colorado in <br />conneotion with the Colorado-Big Thompson projeot. It seemed appropriate <br />that his servioes in the interest of the dewlopnent \of the state '. water <br />resouross should be reoognized by -the Board. 8ilmonSmi-th, a life-long <br />friend and oo-worker of Mr. Aupperle. made Ribrief sta-tement oonoerning his <br />work, Mr. Dille, who beoli.llle aoquainted with him durilng the time when the <br />negotiations respeoting the Colorado-Big Thompson projeot were under w"y, <br />spoke in praise of his oonstruotive work ill the advanoement ot the _ter <br />program of -the State. <br /> <br />Thereupon it w..s moved by Judge John B. O'Rourke. and <br />seoonded by Silmon Smith th..t the Board ..dopt a resolution <br />in reoognition of the servioes of D. W.
