<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Memorandum To: Mike Serlet <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />July 14,2003 <br /> <br />Task 3 - Final Scoping Activities - This activity has been completed. <br /> <br />Colorado River Main-Stem Backl!ronnd Information <br /> <br />Task 4 - Overview ofthe Physical Environment - pertinent reference data has been assembled <br />and several of the sections have been drafted in report format. <br /> <br />Task 5 - Institutional Setting - pertinent reference data has been assembled and several of the <br />sections have been drafted in report format. <br /> <br />Alternatives and Stratel!ies <br /> <br />Task 6 - Overview of Water Supply Alternatives to the CRRP - pertinent reference data has <br />been identified and is now being summarized. <br /> <br />Task 7 - Formulation of Project Configurations - map data has been assembled and is being used <br />to define potential conveyance alignments within each ofthe three corridors. Several site visits <br />have been conducted to assess critical areas in the three corridors. Computer programming for <br />route assessments and hydrlmlic computations has been prepared specifically to address the long <br />distances and elevation changes along the alignments. Initial alternatives for river diversion <br />options and forebays have been identified and are being analyzed. Geologic assessments of <br />potential tunnel locations are being prepared. Water quality data has been assembled and water <br />treatment plant processes are currently being evaluated. <br /> <br />Task 8 - Evaluation of Project Configurations - A draft construction cost estimate for an entire <br />system with all physical components is being refined for one of the alignments and will now be <br />refined and utilized for the other corridors. <br /> <br />Task 9 - Documentation and Justification of Selected Configuration(s) - work is just beginning <br /> <br />Task 10 - Proj ect Development Strategies - work is underway using the "42 options" matrix as <br />the starting point. <br /> <br />Documentation <br /> <br />Task II -Study Documentation - a detailed outline for Final Report has been developed and is <br />currently being refined to address additional items. <br /> <br />ElOVLE <br />
