Sweet, project engineer, Monte Vista, said that some progress <br />has been made in unifying public opinion in the Rio Grande area. <br /> <br />Mr. Batson, Regional Director, Region 7, annolmced that the contract <br />for Bonny Reservoir has been awarded, and work started. He announced a <br />meeting in McCook, Nebraska, on January 27, 1949, to consider an operation <br />plan for the Republican River area affected. He reported that the contract <br />for the Narrows Ileservoir will be forthcoming in the spring. <br /> <br />---- <br /> <br />Mr. Bannister reported in resol~tions affecting the national water pro- <br />gram, which he had proposed to the U. S. Chamber of Commerce, and which were <br />adopted. <br /> <br />Mr. Bdtson reported that the Oak Creek-Green Mountain extension line is <br />to be included in the supplemental budget estimate for funds for the Colorado- <br />Big Thompson project, for the next fiscal year, but that no report has been <br />made yet by the Bureau of the Budget. <br /> <br />Motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Bannister, and duly seconded. On <br />vote, the motion to adjourn was carried.
