Bailey," <br />Vice Chairman of the Board, would not be able to Qe <br />present and that Governor Johnson, Chairman of th~ <br />Board, would not arrive until 10:30 A.M.; he stated <br />that it would be necessary to elect a Chairman pro tem <br />for the meeting. <br /> <br />MR. DILLE: <br /> <br />nI nominate Director Crawford to <br />act as Chairman of this meeting.n <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Pughe, and on vote <br />being taken, was carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Crawford explained to the Board that Mr. John W. <br />Beaty was confined to St. Luke's Hospital and that <br />Mr. Harold H. Christy of Pueblo would act as proxy for <br />Mr. Beaty. He then read to the Board the following <br />letter from John W. Beaty: <br /> <br />February 1, 1955 <br /> <br />Mr. Ivan C. Crawford, Director <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />212 State Office Building <br />Denver, Colorado <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Crawford: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I am at present confined to St. Luke's Hospital <br />and on this account do not expect to be able to <br />attend the Board meeting on February 4. I should <br />like to designate, as my proxy, Harold H. Christy. <br /> <br />Sincerely yours, <br /> <br />/5/ John W. Beaty <br /> <br />Mr. Dille asked that Mr. Crawford convey the regards <br />of the Board to Mr. Beaty. <br />
