Water Supply Protection - Discussion of RICD Correspondence Regarding RICDs as <br />Works of Engineering <br />Tape 2, Track 2 0:21:01 - 0:33:58 <br />Action: A motion was made by Harold Miskel to approve staff recommendation for Part <br />a and Part c that the Board: a) Consider the possibility of including terms and <br />conditions in the RICD rules when the Board undergoes its rulemaking hearing in <br />September; and c) Inform the Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and <br />Professional Land Surveyors that the CWCB does not intend to send these <br />documents to the Colorado Municipal League and Colorado Counties, but inform <br />them that they may do so if they deem it appropriate. Part b of the staff <br />recommendation was excluded from the motion. The motion was seconded by <br />Russ George and approved unanimously (8-0). <br /> <br />19. Water Supply Protection - Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District (RICD)- <br />Consideration of Request From the Applicants Relating to the Remanded Hearings <br />Tape 2, Track 2 0:33 :58 - 1: 11 :59 <br />Action: A motion was made by Don Schwindt to approve a modified staff <br />recommendation that the Board tentatively set the January 2006 meeting as the <br />time to consider a hearing, that the Board tentatively set November 4 as the date <br />whereby it establishes simultaneous briefings, but with the understand that we <br />may have additional guidance by the Water Court by the September meeting and <br />we could potentially reconsider the matter at that time. The motion was <br />seconded by Bob Burr and approved unanimously (7-0). Tom Sharp recused <br />himself from this item. <br /> <br />20. Water Supply Protection - Steamboat Springs (RICD) Scheduling of Remand Associated <br />With the Steamboat Springs RICD and Related Discussion <br />Tape 2, Track 2 1:11:59-1:14:28 <br />Tape 2, Track 3 0:18:24 - 0:26:00 <br />Action: After discussion of the proposed staff recommendation, a motion was made by <br />Travis Smith that the Board go into Executive Session to discuss this issue. The <br />motion was seconded by Harold Miskel and approved unanimously (6-0). Tom <br />Sharp was not present at this afternoon portion of the meeting, and Russ George <br />was not in the room during this vote. The Board then went into executive session. <br />Tape 2, Track 4 0:01 :28 - 0:34:44 <br />Action: The Board returned from executive session and continued on public session on <br />this item. It was determined that the Board would schedule a one-day special <br />Board meeting for September 20th in Denver, beginning at lOam. <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
