I <br />am going to call on Mr. Breitenstein to report on that <br />interview." <br /> <br />Mr. Dreitenstein: "Dean Crawford .nade arrangements to <br />meet with the Bureau of the Budget on Friday, December <br />4th. Present at that meeting were Hughes, uwartz and I <br />Peterson. Pursuant to those requests made with the <br />Assistant Director Hughes, we had a very courteous re- <br />ception. They listened patiently to what we had to . <br />say. They considered that our presentation of the <br />Curecanti matter was premature because the Bureau <br />of the Budget did not have before it any report from <br />the Department of the Interior. Mr. Crawford made <br />an introductory state:nent bringing up the problem. <br />Mr. Tipton pointed out that on the original set-up of <br />the Colorado "'i ver .::ltorage proj ect, the rna tters we.re <br />considered jointly and when they were jointly considered, <br />Curecanti was a feasible unit because the cost of power <br />
