Mr. Vandemoer moved. seconded by Mr. Smith. that the
minutes for the aforementioned meetings be approved. Motion
adopted unanimously.

Aqenda Item 4 - Director's Report

Mr. McDonald reported on and discussed the following
subjects:

1. Status of construction progress on the Dallas Creek and
Dolores projects.
2. Status of contractual arrangements for the San Luis
Valley project. Closed Basin Division.
3. The President's federal budget for fiscal year 1986 and
various issues which will have a bearing on the fiscal
budget.

Mr. David Walker reported on the status of ongoing
activities on the ~outh Platte channelization project. In his
discussion. Mr. Walker referred to his January 10. 1985.
memorandum to the Board members stating that the Corps of
Engineers has asked that the Board enact an updated version of
a resolution granting the Corps the right to construct the
channel improvements on Board-owned rights-of-way purchased for
Stage II of the project. Mr. Getches moved. seconded by Mr.
Vandemoer. that the Board approve a resolution authorizing the
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to enter upon the acquired
rights-of-way of the South Platte Channel Flood Protection
Project for the construction of said project. The motion was
adopted unanimously. (A copy ot the resolution is attached as
Appendix B.)

Galloway Corporation.
5. Proposed water-related legislation in 1985 session of
General Assembly.
6. Personnel matters.

Aqenda Item 5 - Attorney General's Report

First Assistant Attorney General Wendy Weiss reported on
the following subjects:

1. Animas-La Plata litigation.
2. Closed Basin litigation.
3. Riverside litigation.
4. Filing of applications for instream flows or natural
lake levels. (About 200 applications filed in
December. 1984)
