#

.

4. Multi-objective Projects

Grantee/Contractor: CWCB

Amount of request: $50,000

Description: Colorado's Floodplains have many competing interests for their use.
During a flood, the stream channel and its floodplain serve as a floodwater conveyance
path. Under normal flow regimes, the stream and floodplain serve as wildlife habitat,
water supply systems, and land-use activities. Following a major flood event or a stream
use issue/concern, the Board will consider a request for a Multi-Objective study/project.
The project is scoped to address stream flood issues, multi-objective management, and
development of mitigation measures, The Board has received a request for a Fountain
Creek study following the 1999 flood event.

Water Infonnation

.

1.
