I

Moving on to our Operations Center at
Montrose, the administration and dispatch build-
ing is about 14 percent complete. There was
also award of contract on October 18th for
construction of a warehouse, garage and other
facilities. This was made to the Lutz Con-
struction Company in an amount of just under
$300,000.

On the Florida project, our participating
project, it is under construction. The Lemon
Dam, the principal storage feature of this
project, is now 98 percent complete. The dam
was topped out on September 30th and concrete
placement in the spillway remains to be com-
pleted there. Other features of the project,
the canal and distribution system, are well
ahead of schedule.

That completes the Construction portion
of my report. We will now move on to Planning.

Under Advance Planning, the only project
we have is the Silt project. We are, as you
know, waiting for money and approval of this
project from Congress to go into construction.
We are well along on the preparation of specifi-
cations and designs for Rifle Gap Dam and the
Silt Pump Canal. The last item on this project
is the confirmation of the repayment contract
with the Silt Conservancy District and action
on that has been initiated in the District
Court.

I

Now moving on to General Investigations
and first, Reconnaissance Investigations, a
field draft of the reconnaissance report has
been completed on the Upper Gunnison Basin
Project. That is currently under review and
if we can secure all the participating reports
from the participating agencies, we hope that
this will be completed within about three weeks
time.

We are essentially completed with a recon-
naissance investigation, or an extension of
