MR. W.M.WILLIAMS: "When will they be concluded?"

MR. SCHLEUSENER: "They will be concluded on the 15th of
September, the end time of their program
there."

MR. W.M.WILLIAM3: "Then you'll be analysing the data?"

MR. SCHLEUSENER: "That's correct. As a matter of in-
terest on these individual hail reports, we
request from individual farmers information
on their location and how much precipita-
tion they received. We get from them the
biggest stone they see, the most common one,
how much wind came with it and the total
amount on the ground."

"In i:he Arkansas Valley a few years,
ago, they came around and gathered up money
for such a program. I think it was Dr.
Krick that was doing the job and you had
about as many for it as you did 'agin' it.
When they started and when they got through
if they had gotten any advantage out of it,
they thought it was fine. That was the year
they had all the floods down in Kansas, and
the rats rode the boards out of the stock-
yards, and allover, and the next year you
heard a little talk about it and now you
don't hear much talk about it.

I can't tell, and I've never had it
explained to me, how do you figure normal
in Colorado? I've lived here all my life
and what's normal one year isn't worth a
darn the next year. I've seen those guys
as hot as a four dollar pistol to get the
thing started and I've seen them just as
hot to get it stopped. One of the gentle-
men that was really out selling it had a
large ranch and they put one of these
generators in one of his pastures and it
would go east of him. He always got rafn I
in this one pasture. Well it started g~ing
east of him, so the first thing he wanted
to do was to get that generator out of,his
pasture.

I think you are getting into something
here that there will be a lot of controversy
about. I can't see that you have any control
