SECTION 3.0 - USE REGULATIONS

3.1 General Standards - The following standards shall apply to
any land in a Floodprone District or a Designated
Floodplain District:

3.1.1 Prohibited Uses - No development or alteration in,
on or over any part of the Floodprone District or
the Designated Floodplain District shall be
permitted which alone or cumulatively with other
such uses would cause or result in:

(1) The storing or processing of materials that
are buoyant, flammable, explosive,
radioactive, or otherwise potentially
injurious to human, or plant life.

(2) The disposal of garbage or other solid or
liquid waste materials.

(3) The potential of substantial solid debris or
waste being carried downstream.

3.1.2 Utilities

3.1.2.1 All new and replacement water supply systems
shall be designed to minimize or eliminate
infiltration of flood waters into the system;

3.1.2.2 New and replacement sanitary sewage systems
shall be designed to minimize or eliminate
infiltration of flood waters into the systems
and discharge from the systems into flood
waters;

3.1.2.3 On-site waste disposal systems shall be
located to avoid impairment to them or
contamination from them during flooding: and

3.1.2.4 Utility systems shall be located so as to
minimize the encouragement of further
development in Designated Floodplain Districts
and Floodprone -Districts.

3.1.3 Subdivision Proposals

3.1.3.1 All subdivision proposals shall be consistent
with the need to minimize flood damage;

3.1.3.2 All subdivision proposals shall have public
utilities and facilities such as sewer, gas,
electrical, and water systems located and
constructed to minimize flood damage;
