The Greeley and Loveland <br />Irrigation Company owns Boyd Lake, the largest reservoir in their system with a surface area of 1,750 acres and a <br />capacity of 48,875 acre-feet. The dam is a Class I facility. The existing spillway is a 20,foot long grass swale with <br />really no means of conveying any storm flows. The SEO requires that a Class I facility spillway pass 75% of the PM? <br />The Company is currently in the design phase to construct a new labyrinth spillway approximately I, I 00 feet in length <br />with an effective weir length of 5,720 feet, constructing I, I DO-feet of downstream channel, and constructing 350- ft long <br />fIoodwall. The project is currently being designed by Boyle Engineering and is anticipated to commence construction in <br />February of 2005. <br /> <br />19. South Side Irrigation Comoanv - Ditch Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: Construction Fund County: Larimer - Near - Loveland <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 1,587 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $72,000 @ 3.10% for 30 yrs. Project Type: Ditch Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This $80,000 project involves the rehabilitation of a number of hydraulic structures and various concrete lining <br />along the South Side Ditch. The overall ditch is approximately I I miles long and its headgate is located on the <br />South Platte River. The project is under design and is anticipated to be constructed in the spring of 2004. <br /> <br />20. South Side Irrigation Comoanv - South Side Reservoir Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: Construction Fund County: Larimer - Near Loveland <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 1,241 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $360,000 @3.10% for 30 yrs.Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />eJ <br /> <br />The South Side Reservoir Company operates the South Side Reservoir that provides irrigation water within a 1,590- <br />acre service area. The South Side Reservoir is located approximately 1 mile southwest of the City of Loveland. <br />This $400,000 project involves rehabilitation of the outlet structure and spillway. These improvements will <br />eliminate the current storage restrictions imposed by the State Engineers Office. The project is currently under <br />design and is scheduled for construction in the spring of2004. <br /> <br />21. Poodre Tech Metro District - Dual Water Svstem <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: Cache La Poudre <br />Terms of Loan: $2,180,000 @4.75%for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Weld <br />Project Yield: 740 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Water Supply <br /> <br />Poudre Tech Metro District, among other services, provides outside irrigation water for the Water Valley and <br />Hilltop Subdivisions, located in the Town of Windsor. The purpose of this project is to construct the infrastructure <br />to expand its services to supply outside irrigation water to an additional 1500 residential homes. The proposed <br />construction activities include the completion of two reservoirs with a combined storage capacity of 2,000 acre-feet, <br />three pumping plants, and the installation of 67,000 linear feet of 4-inch to lO-inch irrigation pipe and associated <br />valves, fittings, and taps. The earthwork is currently under construction. Engineering design for the headgate, <br />intake, and pumping facilities has been completed. The project is currently on-hold pending possible <br />deauthorization of the existing loan and the District obtaining a new loan under a different applicant. <br /> <br />22. Little Thompson/Central Weld Water Districts, Reservoir Construction <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Perpetual Account County: Larimer <br />Water Source: South Platte Project Yield: 5,200 acre-feet <br />Tenns of Loan: $7,875,000 @4.05% for 20-years Project Type: Reservoir Construction <br /> <br />The Little Thompson Water District and the Central Weld County Water Districts have a 50/50 partnership to <br />construct, own and operate a new reservoir (Dry Creek Reservoir). The proposed project, Ia-cated approximately 2 <br />miles southeast of Carter Lake would include construction of a 5,200 acre-foot reservoir, including a 40-foot high <br />earthen dam with an emergency spillway and outlet works. Construction will also include converting an existing <br />20-inch treated line to a raw water delivery line that will connect from the Filter Plant at Carter Lake to the new <br />reservoir and the construction of a 5000 GPM pump station. This $10,500,000 project is currently under design and <br />in the process of obtaining necessary permits and approvals. Project construction may be spring of 2005/06 <br />depending on level of EP A requirements and approvals. <br />
