The State Enginecr's Office during
inspection of the facility detennined that an outlet pipe had deteriorated beyond repair and that a
new spillway be incorporated into the reservoir. Given possible restrictions imposed by the State
Engineer's Office, the Boulder and Lefthand Irrigation Company elected to construct a combined
outlet/spillway structure. The new control structure consists of a 30" steel outlet pipe and
headgate, with a 36" drop inlet/spillway structure. The project was designed by Rocky Mountain
Consultants, Longmont, Colorado. The project was constructed by Kemp-Hoffinan, out of
Northglenn, Colorado at a total project cost of $175,000.

Project Data

Sponsor: Boulder & Lefthand Irrigation Co.
