<br /> <br />Englewood, Colorado is designing the project, at an estimated construction cost of $3,000,000. The project was <br />. awarded to ASI, of Colorado, for $2,200,000. Construction commenced in August of 200 I and is tentatively <br />scheduled to be completed by December of 200 1. <br /> <br />11. North Poudre Irrigation Company Reservoirs No.4. 5 and Indian Creek Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: HB 98. I 73 <br />Water Source: Cache La Poudre <br />Terms of Loan: $1,107,000 @4.04% for 20 yrs. <br /> <br />County: Weld- N. of Fort Collins <br />Project Yield: 9,363 acre feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project involves the rehabilitation of Reservoirs 4, 5 and Indian Creek. The Irrigation Company has retained the <br />services of Smith Geotechnical, out of Fort Collins, Colorado to prepare design plans and specifications for the <br />proposed improvements. Improvements to Reservoir No.5 were designed and completed in 1999. Indian Creek and <br />No. Reservoirs are currently under design. The proposed improvements to Indian Creek Reservoir involve a new 500- <br />ft.long spillway, replacement of the outlet structure, new toe drains, and reshaping the downstream dam face. The <br />proposed improvements to Reservoir No.4 include, relocation of the spillway to the center of the dam, replacing the <br />existing outlet structure and Parshall flume, new toe drains, rip rap placement, and reshaping the upstream face of the <br />dam. Indian Creek Reservoir was awarded to Zak Dirt, Longmont Colorado, with construction tentatively scheduled <br />for October, 2001. <br /> <br />Prolects Under Desil!n <br /> <br />1. Rvan Gulch Reservoir Companv - Rvan Gulch Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 99-173 <br />Water Source: Big Thompson River <br />Terms of Loan: $317,500 @4.25% for 30 years <br /> <br />County: Larimer - S. of Loveland <br />Project Yield: 645 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is therehabilitation of the Ryan Gulch Dam which includes the construction of a new spillway, lining the <br />upstream face of the dam with a clay liner, sleeving the existing 24-inch outlet pipe, and constructing a new upstream <br />controlled inlet works. Boyle Engineering, Inc. of Denver has completed the final design plans, which has been <br />reviewed and approved by the State Engineer's Office. Bids were received to construct the planned improvements, but <br />were outside the project budget. The Ditch Company is currently obtaining a new design engineer to redesign certain <br />aspects of the project in an attempt to reduce the overall cost of the job. The project is currently on-hold pending the <br />outcome of the Ditch Company's redesign of the reservoir. <br /> <br />2. People Ditch Companv People Ditch Diversion Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Small Project Loan <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Terms of Loan: $43,000 @3.75% for 20 years <br /> <br />County: Logan - N.E. of Sterling <br />Project Yield: 1,200 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Diversion Structure <br /> <br />The People's Ditch Company historically diverted irrigation water from the South Platte River at an existing diversion <br />point located approximately 6 miles northwest of the Town of Sterling. This existing diversion structUre was <br />damaged during the flood of 1995 and was entirely washed out in 1997. The proposed project is to construct a new <br />diversion structure along the Bravo Ditch, therefore eliminating the need for the existing structure, and then construct <br />approximately 1050 I.f. of 24" pipeline to transport the flow from the Bravo Ditch back to Peoples Ditch. Bravo <br />Ditch has agreed to allow People Ditch to convey their decree flows through their ditch system and then divert it back <br />to the existing People Ditch by means of the new diversion structure. The project is tentatively on-hold pending <br />resolution of some specific loan contract requirements. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />3.
