<br />On September 8 the PMRCA held a regularly scheduled Board of Directors e <br />meeting. Staff received a call from PMRCA after that meeting informing the CWCB <br />that: <br /> <br />1) They were no longer interested in participating in a 3-party agreement with regard to <br />the construction and operation of an RO plant. <br />2) As a private non-profit organization, they were going to pursue grant money and try <br />to finance completion of the project on their own. <br /> <br />Recent Proe:ress <br /> <br />Two letters (attached) have been received from the PMRCA, one dated October 5, <br />1998 from Ms. Kelley Calder (pMRCA newly elected financial officer), and the other <br />dated October 30,1998 from Mr. Charles Palmer, President of the PMRCA. <br /> <br />It is clear from these letters that the PMRCA is developing new ideas regarding <br />the completion of the project and solutions to their financial constraints under the <br />direction of newly elected leadership. <br /> <br />Staff has responded to the PMRCA (November 12, 1998 letter attached) with <br />some concerns and an offer of support in any of their financial, technical or construction tit <br />efforts. With less than a year remaining on their Construction Loan Contract (October 9, <br />1999 deadline), and the Association's new officers, we are cautiously anticipating <br />renewed progress. <br /> <br />tit <br />
