Construction for the second to the last phase of improvements commenced in March of 1999, <br />by Noland, Inc., of Mancos, CO., and was completed in July of 1999. The final phase of improvements is <br />scheduled to be designed during the winter of 2000/01 with construction to follow in the fall of 2001. <br />Commencement of construction is contingent upon resolving project right-of-way issues. <br /> <br />4. Jackson Lake Reservoir and Irrigation Company - Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Tenns of Loan: $1,700,000 @O% for 30 years <br /> <br />County: Morgan-N.W. ofFt. Morgan <br />Project Yield: 30,000 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Jackson Lake Reservoir is located approximately 17 miles northwest of Fort Morgan and has an <br />estimated storage capacity of 30,000 acre-feet. The dam has been in-place since 1902 and provides mainly <br />late season irrigation water to about 17,000 acres of land. The dam is not currently under any restriction by <br />the State Engineer's Office, but the SEO has indicated concern about the existing dam facing, The proposed <br />project is to provide a renewed slope protection along the upstream face of the dam. The existing concrete <br />slabs have deteriorated over time, due to the extreroe wave action and general freeze~thaw. The major <br />component of the project is new soil cement facing, approximately 3-4 feet thick, running along about 70% of <br />the existing dam face (8,1 OO-feet). The new soil cement will be poured directly over the existing concrete <br />slabs and will extend several feet below the toe of the embankment. W. W. Wheeler of Englewood, Colorado <br />is designing the project, at an estimated construction cost of$3,000,000. The project is tentatively scheduled <br />to commence construction in the fall of 200 1. <br /> <br />5. Loveland. City of - Green Ridge Glade Reservoir Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: lIB 98-1189 County: Larimer - W. of Loveland <br />Water Source: Big Thompson River Project Yield: 6,000 acre feet <br />Terms of Loan: $5,000,000 @4.75%for 10 yrs. Project Type: Dam enlargement <br /> <br />This $19.2 million project is the enlargement of the Green Ridge Glade Reservoir northwest of Loveland. <br />The proj eet consists of raising the crest of the existing dam approximately 60 feet, construction of a new concrete <br />labyrinth weir spillway, and new multi-level intake gate tower outlet structure. The City has contracted with <br />Woodward-Clyde of Denver to prepare the final design and cons1ruction contract dDcuments. Environmental <br />studies have been complete and the City is currently in the process of obtaining the necessary permits to realign <br />the adjacent CoWlty Road. The design is scheduled to be complete by December of 2001, with construction to <br />follow in JW1e of 2002. <br /> <br />6. Riverside Resenroir and Land Company - Riverside Reservoir Spillway Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Terms of Loan: $450,000 @ 3.75% for 20 yrs. <br /> <br />CoW1ty: Weld - NW of Wiggins <br />Project Yield: 200 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Spillway Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the construction of an emergency spillway on the Riverside Reservoir Dam, located 11 <br />miles northwest of Wiggins in Weld County. The State Engineer has placed a storage <br />restriction on the reservoir until an emergency spillway is completed. The Riverside Reservoir and Land <br />Company contracted with W.W. Wheeler and Associates of Denver to prepare construction plans and <br />specifications. The State Engineer's office and the Riverside Reservoir and Land Company are currently <br />evaluating alternate spillway sizes. Construction of the project is currently on-hold, pending resolution of the <br />spillway size and downstream property issues. <br /> <br />7. North Poudre Irrigation Companv - Reservoirs No.4. 5 and Indian Creek Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: lIB 98-173 <br />Water Source: Qlche la Poudre <br /> <br />County: Weld - N. of Fort Collins <br />Project Yield: 9,363 acre feet <br />
