the prcpcsed Longmcnt Reservcir were ccmpleted
and the results transmitted tc the Mayer of
Longmcnt. A general meeting was held in Fort
Morgan last week to acquaint the water users in
the Lower South Platte Water Ccnservancy Dis-
trict and other local interests with the results
cf the Narrcws Unit studies.

Design data on the Upper scuth Platte
Unit, Missouri River Basin Project, were trans-
mitted to the Office of the Chief Engineer,
Bureau cf Reclamaticn, fer preparing the pre-
liminary design and cost estimates fer Twc
Forks Dam. Geology studies were ccntinued at
the Two Fcrks and Turkshead Dam sites and at
additional sites of access roads and read re-
locaticns. Earthwcrk quantities are being
computed and ccst estimates are being prepared
for access reads and road relccaticns. Ccst
estimates are also being prepared fer rights-
of-way and clearing cf Two Forks Reservcir.
The final reservoir cperaticn study en Two
Forks was started.

All potential dam and reservcir sites on
the st. vrain Unit are being sized and ccsts
estimated for plan formulaticn. Hydrolcgic
studies ccncerning the stcrable surplus flows,
upstream exchange potentials, and projected
estimates of municipal and industrial water
requirements were completed. Flccd design data
to be used for estimating preliminary spillway
costs are being completed.

The Ccncluding Repcrt fer the Cache la
poudre Unit has been completed by cur cffice
and we have transmitted this tc the lccal, state
and federal interests.

In regard to the Fryingpan-Arkansas Proj-
ect, the contractcr fer ccnstructicn cf Ruedi
Dam had ccmpleted 44.5 percent cf the contract
with 58.8 percent of the contract time elapsed
as cf August 31, 1966. Zone material placements
were ccntinued en the dam and spillway. Gcod
