Preparaticns are being made for ccnstruc- I
tion of the Fryingpan River bridge. A ccntract
was awarded for clearing and fencing at Ruedi
Reservcir in August and clearing operaticns
were initiated late in that month.

On August 31, 1966, the ccntractcr for
the ccnstructicn of the Divide, Scuth Fork, and
Chapman Tunnels, Diversicn Dams, and Appurte-
nant structures cf the South Side Ccllecticn
System had ccmpleted 28.2 percent of the ccn-
tract with 35.4 percent of the contract time
elapsed.

As cf August 31, excavaticn cf the tunnels
had prcgressed as fcllcws: Divide, 6,581 feet;
Scuth Fcrk, 5,756 feet; Chapman. 8,362 feet.
Excavaticn was initiated at Chapman Tunnel inlet
heading late in the pericd. The Thcmasville-
Nast portion of Ccunty Read 104 relccation was
ccmpleted and work ccntinued en the Divide
Tunnel Inlet pcrtal access road.

On August 31, 1966, the ccntractcr fer
ccnstruction cf Sugar Leaf Dam and reads had
ccmpleted 32.8 percent cf the contract with
22.2 percent cf the contract time elapsed.
Ccncrete placement is essentially ccmplete fer
the cutlet wcrks conduit. Excavaticn cperaticns
ccntinued and zone placements were made en the
dike. Wcrk continued en ccuntY-Rcad 104 relo-
cation and Divi@eTunnel Outlet Pcrtal access
read.

Regarding the Upper Cclcradc River Stcr-
age project, en August 31, 1966, the ccntractcr
for ccnstructicn of the pcncha-Midway section
cf the Curecanti-Midway 230-kv. transmissicn
line had ccmpleted 27.5 percent cf the contract
with 25.2 percent of the contract time elapsed.
