"Before we get to that, Ben, there is cne
ncte I'd like tc make on the Chatfield Dam
that the Beard shculd be aware cf. We have
received a request frcm the Central Ccloradc
Water Ccnservancy District fer ccnservation
space in the Chatfield Reservcir. Ccnserva-
ticn space can be made available in the reser-
vcir if there is any water tc put in it. The
Central Coloradc Water Conservancy District has
requested a ccnference with our staff, the
Corps cf Engineers. and the Bureau cf Reclama-
tion. upcn a claim that additional water is
available frcm the Blue River to be stcred in
chatfield. On our staff we have not been able
tc find such water but, in any event. in the
near future we will meet with them to learn in
more detail what their plans may be. But there
is ncthing in that request which will delay, in
any way, the ccnstructicn of Chatfield Dam.

We will advise the Board as to the plans
of the Central Cclcradc Water ccnservancy Dis-
trict as scon as we have this meeting because
I am sure they will want tc make scme presenta-
tion to the Board at perhaps cur next meeting."

"It's a new district which ...,as fcrmed
generally north of Denver. I forget but I
believe it's Adams County, Weld Ccunty - parts
of Adams and parts of Weld - and I believe part
of Morgan County. I den' t recall whether there
are any ether counties in there or net. But it
is, cf course, a water short area. Their
