"Nc, except that we just recently received
the ccmpleted report of the Albuquerque office
cf the Corps cf Engineers on the flccd of June
1965. We have a limited number of this rather
comprehensive repcrt en last year's flccds that
are available to the Board members and tc other
people who have a need fat it. I have one here
for you, Franlc."

"The Ccrps is prcceeding quite rapidly on
develcping a flccd ccntrcl plan for the Arkan-
sas. By the end cf next year we shculd have
plans well advanced sc that we can determine
what appears tc be feasible in the way of
flccd control in the Valley.

We had scme damaging floods just this past
summer in the Fremont and Custer ccunties'
area: about a half millicn dollars damage was
done. principally tc the area arcund Cctopaxi.
The Ccrps cf Engineers was en the job immed-
iately and ccllected the information en the
stcrm runoffs there.

The Albuquerque office is in charge of the
Trinidad project and, as has already been indi-
cated by Region 7, we are all hopeful that the
problem in the Trinidad area can be resclved.
'l'he ccrps is ready to gc ahead with immediate
construction on the Trinidad project if we can
solve the prcblems amongst the lccal people."
