Beaver Reservoir is located 'in Gunnison County at elevation 8,100-ft. The existing dam is 113 feet high and has a .
storage capacity of 1,620 acre-feet. The reservoir is used to store and regulate the release of irrigation water to a
3,400-acre service area. In 1958 the Company built the reservoir, and in 1995 the Company borrowed $415,000
from CWCB to install a liner to address seepage problems identified by the SEO. This project consists of
stabilizing the reservoir liner and to replace the hydraulic valve and gate on the intake end of the outlet structure.
The project is currently being designed and is scheduled to commence construction in the fall of 2005.

17. The reservoir
was originally constructed in 1896 to store water for irrigation. The dam was constructed of granular material, and
over the years has suffered structural damage due to seepage, Given the condition of the dam embankment and the
potential for failure, the dam was intentionally breached in 1983. The proposed project involves rehabilitating
the existing dam embankment, the construction of a controlled outlet structure, and the construction of an
emergency spillway.
