COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING

The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Staple-
ton at lO: 00 A. 14.

MR. STAPLETON:

"I would like to call the regularly scheduled
meeting of the Colorado Water Board to order. I
have a couple of preliminary announcements.
First of all, our good hosts would like very
much to have anybody who is going to smoke to
use the ash trays which are up in the forward
part here. They would appreciate very much if
there were no ashes dropped on the floor and I
am sure we all want to cooperate in that
respect.

I'd also like to announce that whenever we
have a speaker come up, that they take that
microphone in hand so that we may record for
the minutes of this meeting your remarks.

With those preliminaries out of the way, I
would like to say that we are delighted to have
this meeting of the Colorado Water Conservation
Board in La Junta in the Valley. Insofar as we
could recall on the way down on the bus, this
is probably the first time we have ever met here
and I think we have been reluctant and reticent
in not being here before and we hope now that
we have been here, we can come back often. I
have one regret - that Frank Milenski's tomatoes
are not ripe. I was looking forward to that but
I guess we are a couple of months early. I I
would like to introduce first of all, Frank
Milenski, the member of our Board from this area ..
and ask him if he will present the members from _
his area that we would like to meet at this time.
