<br />second Glen Canyon-Flagstaff-pinnacle Peak <br />345-kv line is essentially complete and will <br />be placed in operation during July. <br /> <br />The marketi~g of storage Project power . <br />reached a new milestone in the month of ~y. <br />For the first time in the history of the proj- 1- <br />ect, revenues for a one-month period reached <br />one million dollars. <br /> <br />Contracts for firm power now exceed <br />850,000 kilowatts in the summer season and <br />625,000 kilowatts in the winter season. <br />Revenues are developing generally as forecast <br />in tile latest Average Rates and Repayment Study <br />and on June I totaled $13,689,489. <br /> <br />Surplus energy has been available and <br />marketed at 3 mills per kilowatt-hour during <br />most of this summer. However, the sale of <br />surplus energy is not expected to continue <br />beyond early fall, and future sales will be <br />dependent on water conditions. <br /> <br />Because of the minimum water runoff this <br />spring, we have taken another look at our future <br />marketing plans so that contracting for firm <br />power does not get ahead of available generation <br />in the event of a series of low water years. <br /> <br />Both Flaming Gorge and Glen Canyon are <br />fully operational and performing satisfactorily. <br />Blue Mesa is expected to be on the line by March <br />1967 and Fontenelle by April 1968. <br /> <br />The Montrose Operation Center is now com- <br />pleted and in operation as control center for <br />the generation and transmission of all Storage <br />Project po\.,er. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />A system shakeup resulted June 8, 1966, <br />from a misoperation of a transformer relay at <br />the pinnacle Peak substation.
