Merriell, Seoretary of the Colorado <br />River Conservation Distriot, to whom was referred a proposed amendment to <br />Section 13 (b) (Cons ervanoy Distriot Lalli) brought in a recommendation with <br />respeot to the lang;uage of such an amendment. <br /> <br />After disoussion of this language it was moved. by Mr. Stone and <br />seoonded by Mr. Smith that the Colorado Water ConserVll..t;ion Board approves an <br />amendment to Section 13 (b) of the Aot entitled "An Act to provide for the <br />Organization of Water Conservanoy Distriots and to Define the Purposes and <br />Powers Thereof~, passed in 1937, and amended in 1931, to provide for the <br />elimination of that portion of Section 13 (b), after "Provided However" and <br />the insertion in lieu thereof in the following languagel <br /> <br />"PrOvided, however, that any projeot development providing <br />for the exportation of water from any river subjeot to the <br />Colorado River Compaot and the Boulder Canyon Projeot Aot by <br />any district or organization organized or to be organized <br />under this Aot, shall be subjeot to the provisions of the <br />Colorado River Compaot and the Boulder Canyon Projeot Aot, <br />as amended by the Boulder Canyon Projeot Adjustment Ao-t, and <br />shall be designed, oonstructed. and operated in such a manner <br />that the present and prospeotive development within the natural <br />basin from whioh the water is exported will be proteoted without <br />cost to the water users within the natural basin from whioh the <br />water is exported." <br /> <br />Disoussion of the motion followed with a motion by Mr. Hinderlider <br />and seoonded by Mr. Stone that the word "river"' where it appears in the seoond <br />line of the suggested amendment be ohanged. to the word ~stre8mlt~ <br /> <br />The question was upon the amendment and art'er disoussion, a'.yote <br />was taken upon the amendment whioh was deolared UIl~imously 'adopted. <br /> <br />Thereupon the question was on the motion as amended whioh reads <br />as follows I <br /> <br />"That the Colorado Water Conservation Board approves the , <br />amendment of Section 13 (b) of Cons~ Law;"il\l.llsed"!n <br />1937 to provide for the elimination of thlit portion of Seotion <br />13 (b) after "Provided however, n and in insertion in lieu <br />thereof the following language I . <br />
