<br />In light of the legislative intent of S.B. 439 and the <br />constraints on funding, none of the four studies analyze the <br />environmental, recreational, a.nd social impacts which these four <br />projects would have. Such eva.luations will, of course, have to <br />be undertaken before any final decision is made to construct any <br />of the four proposed projects. <br /> <br />Conduct of Studies <br /> <br />All four studies are being carried out by engineering <br />consulting firms under contra~t to the CWCB. The firms are: <br /> <br />Cache la poudre <br />Hardin Dam -- <br />Una Dam -- <br />Yellowjacket -- <br /> <br />Tudor Engineering <br />Dames and Moore <br />R.W. Beck <br />International Engineering <br /> <br />Under the guidance of the CWCa staff, these firms are responsible <br />for executing all aspects of ~ach study and for the preparation <br />of all necessary documentation and reports. Final decisions <br />concerning the scope, content, and conduct of the studies are <br />being made by the Board itselt. <br /> <br />Advisors panels composed of knowledgeable individuals <br />representing a wide range of ~nterests have been assembled for <br />each study. Functions of eacn advisors panel include review of <br />interim written products and c3raft final reports and advising on <br />the content and conduct of ea<:h study. The advisors panels have <br />met several times during the c:ourse of the studies. <br /> <br />Status of Studies <br /> <br />The attached "Status Rep<lrt" very briefly reviews progress <br />on each study and identifies the major features of each potential <br />project.
