<br />156 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board notes <br />with concern the possibility that other provisions <br />of said bill might make the carrying out of orderly <br />construction programs impracticable; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that its Director be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to make such representations <br />as he deems appropriate in the light of this resolution <br />to the Colorado delegation in Congress and to the <br />Interior and Insular Affairs Committee of the U. S. House <br />of Representatives in order that the desirability of <br />amend~ent of the bill in question in such a way "as to avoid <br />the results mentioned in the second and third paragraphs <br />of the preamble hereof may be duly pointed out. <br /> <br />Mr. Will stated, "1 tried to point out that 1 didn't <br />have any question in my mind regarding controls. Everybody <br />is in sympathy with the idea of close controls. 1 do <br />think there are too many statutes on the books already <br />Prefer charges and fire individuals, nothing could be more <br />refreshing to any organization, public or private; think <br />a few firings are deserved. <br /> <br />Mr. Bailey remarked that the second resolution may <br />be non:controversial. Maybe we should take that up first; <br />these investigations should be continued; I think that <br />is absolutely right. Thought we would dispose of that <br />suggested motion first, then consider the other one. <br /> <br />Mr. Saunders said he thought it would be well to have <br />them together. He added he thought Mr. Will did a very good <br />job on both of the resolutions. <br /> <br />Mr. Dutcher moved the adoption of both resolutions. <br /> <br />Mr. Beatty seconded the motion - it was unanimously <br />carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Hinderlider was excused from the meeting at 3:30 <br /> <br />Mr. Crawford read his letter to Senator Millik~, Re: <br />H.
